Heritage meets visionary: A global marketing leader appointment for The Dorchester Collection
With a legendary heritage and a fast-expanding global luxury hotel portfolio, The Dorchester Collection needed a world-class leader to fill a newly created role that would unify, inspire and sharpen the brand worldwide.
The challenge
The Dorchester Collection as a group should be better known, as the owners of some of the most loved iconic hotels around the world, including The Dorchester, The Beverly Hills Hotel, and The Lana in Dubai.
The brief
To help the leadership team appoint a superb Global Marketing Director. Someone who could bring cohesion, elevate the brand worldwide, and marry global direction with the distinct character of each incredible hotel.
This leader needed board-level authority combined with the emotional intelligence to inspire long-tenured teams and strengthen the golden thread that connects the entire Collection.
Our approach
Every search we run is highly tailored. For The Dorchester Collection, that meant looking beyond the traditional luxury hospitality world, to bring fresh perspective from adjacent luxury brands and businesses that obsess about the experience they offer.
We mapped more than 200 senior marketing leaders across luxury sectors including fashion, watches, jewellery, automotive, private members clubs, and ultra-luxury travel. From this, we identified the top 10% exceptional individuals with the right blend of brand storytelling, global elevation and digital expertise.
We engaged senior leaders from around the world, from brands like Hermes, Aston Martin, Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co, Rolex, Alexander McQueen and more. But one profile stood apart.
The result
Amy Turner’s career spans luxury, fashion and lifestyle. From global campaigns with David Beckham and Mercedes F1 to high-profile partnerships with Vogue, she has consistently demonstrated an ability to capture the imagination of discerning audiences.
Her work with icons such as IWC and Fortnum & Mason reflects the same mastery of heritage, creativity and storytelling that defines The Dorchester Collection.
Amy reports directly to VP Commercial and will work closely with the new CEO. She leads the end-to-end marketing strategy, uniting the global vision with local execution, strengthening the link between hotels and the central team, and giving The Dorchester Collection a louder, clearer voice in the competitive but hugely exciting luxury hospitality world.
A landmark move
For The Dorchester Collection, this was more than an appointment. It was a statement. A commitment to tell their story with clarity, authority and artistry.
And for us, it’s another example of how the right leader, in the right role, transforms the future of a brand.
We wish Amy and The Dorchester Collection all the very best and look forward to seeing the impact made.
Testimonial from our client
“Ru was a true partner throughout the search: engaged, thoughtful, and deeply invested in getting it right. He listened carefully to our feedback, adjusted swiftly when necessary, and ultimately delivered the perfect candidate. The process felt effortless, but the result was exacting. A professional of rare calibre”.
